Great atmosphere both inside and out. Very attentive and courteous staff. Menus are unbeatable in terms of price / performance. Corona requirements were implemented well. Boss is sometimes rough. Still 5 stars.

Very good restaurant with very nice staff. Had the 4-course menu, which was well thought out and delicious. Reasonably priced. On-site parking. Outside area nicely furnished.

The parish economy in Endingen stands out from the rest of the gastronomy in Endingen in terms of price, performance, quality (in this order). No place without pre-booking (at least in Corona time).

We are very disappointed. We had already reserved for our first communion celebration (15 people) at the beginning of 2019. Only recently, Mr. Merkle tel. reported regarding the menu. In fact, it was only possible to order an identical menu for everyone. Our suggestion that we ask the guests in advance for 3 menu suggestions and state exactly which food is desired and how often has not changed this. We didn't expect that. We really didn't want pork or beef for everyone. According to H. Merkle - with more than one menu - the quality cannot be maintained. Wow! We have now booked in the "Regional" of Schloss Reinach. In fact there is "a la carte" for us. Bär family - Pizziol / Eichstetten

What a great place (also vegetarian & pescatarian friendly)! We chose the 4 courses menu with wine pairing. Every course was just delicious and the service was very professional and friendly. The outdoor sitting area is cosy, informal and 100% corona-proof. Very good value for money. Make sure to book in advance!

More than just a place. A place to stay. "Fine home cooking", "crossover". No matter what you call it - you will be amazed. Whether meatball with potato salad, fish soup, vegetarian cannelloni or a refined menu - everyone will find it here. And with every plate you can see and taste the star cuisine. Whoever likes it more noble can indulge in Merkle’s Gourmet in the same house. You should reserve at the weekend! The cooking classes are also highly recommended, as they give you a great insight into the ⭐️ kitchen and you can lend a hand.

Excellent cuisine with a lot of finesse and proximity to the product. Courteous service, we had a nice evening. We are looking forward to the next time.

Pity! Staff overwhelmed and snotty, portions much too small, quality not sufficient for the prices. Cheek - 1.50 € for tap water (for 5 people with food, wine, etc.) there is better at the Kaiserstuhl.

Yes, the name Merkle stands for good cuisine in the region and that's exactly what you experience in the parish! The outside area is very lovingly designed. The food and wine were also very good. The only thing that bothered me was that the main course of the menu was a bit small. Nevertheless, I would love to come back!

At lunchtime there is a business lunch menu with 3 courses and espresso for less than 20 euros - excellent value for money! Ambience outside a bit of beach-club feeling ... - and that in Endingen; good selection of open wines. I was thrilled: the "employee in the service" could remember after a week, which open wine I had drunk at the last visit! However, this is not a "normal" MA - in the "normal life", the young man works as a chef on the Sea Cloud II and now helps with his old boss, until he goes back to sea in a few weeks ... Appetizer was a cauliflower soup with parmesan, with home-baked bread. Main Course Beef fillet - great sauce - with mashed potatoes and bacon beans. And for dessert a iced strawberry slices with strawberry and mint sorbet. I got a sour cream sorbet with a friendly apology - tasted good as well. I only wanted to give only 4 *, or 4.5 *, because I was the last visit at noon in the almost empty dining room only a "2-cat table" was offered ... - Sponge over it, I'm not vindictive. That's smooth 5 stars !!! Absolutely go!

Summary: The restaurant does not do justice to its own claim ... The quite smart and delicious dishes are to be appreciated. But: Inside, the restaurant has a partly open kitchen. This is visually beautiful, but the guest room smelled unpleasantly intense after dripping. We sat in the beautifully landscaped garden. Here the staff worked (up to 4 waiters) overwhelmed and very hectic. That does not contribute to a relaxed restaurant visit. In addition, a waiter seemed linguistically or acoustically not to be able to accommodate all requests, which made communication difficult. There is still some room for improvement ...
